Amelia Island Fishing Spots

This is a private pier, which is connected to a condo building, and is located approximately at the center of the island. The pier is approximately 800 feet long (estimated using a satellite image).

The pier is available for use by residents of the condos, and by visitors who are staying at Amelia By The Sea. Condos are available for rent by the week or by the month.

It's been over 10 years since we've fished from this pier, but it used to be a great place for fishing at Amelia Island. We caught many different kinds of fish from the pier, and it was frequented by the same group of condo renting fisherman every fall.

I don't see as nearly as many people fishing from the pier in October and November as were there when we were annual visitors, but I recently spoke to the lady who manages the condos, and she told me that the fishing is still going strong, with reds, flounder, and whiting being caught regularly from the pier. Weekly rentals (2005) are priced from $1035 to $1500, and monthly offseason two bedroom rentals from about $2100 to $2500. Call the rental office at (904) 261-6795 for current pricing. They have two and three bedroom condos available for rent, and the fishing is right outside the back door.
