This beach is located at the north end of Amelia Island inside of Fort Clinch State Park. There is a daily admission fee to enter the park, or you can buy a yearly pass which covers all Florida state parks. Current pricing is available from the ranger station at the entrance to the park, which is located on Atlantic Avenue a few blocks from the beach. 2005 prices were $5 per car (up to 8 people, daily) or $80 for a yearly park pass. The park is open from sunrise to sunset daily.

This beach is located north of the Fort Clinch pier, and the point is the entrace to the river. To access the beach, use the walk down to the beach from the ramp to the pier. If you are staying in the beach campground at Fort Clinch, there is also a walk over from the campground to the beach.

We've caught blues, trout, and whiting fishing here. Nice quiet place to surf fish, very few people frequent this area of the park.

A bad day of fishing is much better than a good day of cutting the grass.
